Catching up with friends (with my Night Owl 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag in tow)

me, sat in my sleeping bag.

When I was asked to review the Night Owl 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag, I wasn’t sure if it was a product that I’d get much use out of. I love to go on mini breaks in the UK, but I hardly ever go camping. And sleeping bags are for camping trips, right? Wrong. I actually discovered that this is a super handy piece of kit, with multiple uses.

Recently, I’ve been eagerly catching up with friends and family members. Like millions of other people, I didn’t get to spend much time with my loved ones in 2020. So I have taken 2021 as an excuse to socialise. Of course, it hasn’t quite been the same as usual and I’ve cut back on European mini breaks due to the variable Covid rules.

Catching up with friends

In 2021, I’ve had my fair share of nights out, but many a bottle of wine has been shared on my soda. My friend recently came over to enjoy a glass and before we knew it, we were three bottles deep. He had planned to go home that night, but then I remembered my Night Owl 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag, so I suggested he stayed over and slept in the sleeping bag. The next morning he was full of praise, raving about what a great night’s sleep he’d had.

This sleeping bag is a double, or you can convert it into two singles. So if one person uses it, they have more space then you’d find in a typical sleeping bag. That’s part of the reason he said it was comfortable, as he had plenty of space to get cosy in.

I was pleased to hear that my friend had had such a great night’s sleep. But I further impressed by the fact that I could just throw it in the washing machine after he’d gone. It only took 90 minutes to dry as well.

Going on staycation

I’ve been on more UK mini breaks than usual this year. Recently, I went away to a house in Anglesey with my old university friends. I was really looking forward to it as I knew we’d have a hot tub.

I’m not sure why exactly, but as I had room in the car, I decided to throw my Night Owl 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag in for the ride. When I got to the place we were staying, it became clear that I wouldn’t need to sleep in it, as the beds all had cosy-looking bed spreads.

However, the double sleeping bag came in very handy. There were ten of us staying at the house, but only six-eight of us could fit into the hot tub at any one time. So I got the double sleeping bag out for those in-between hot tub moments. It’s 7 tog, so I was able to sit there, sipping my coffee, all toasty and warm.

Other reasons to buy

If I’ve not already convinced you that you need a Night Owl 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag in your life, then I should tell you that this isn’t like other sleeping bags. It isn’t bright and loud and it doesn’t look like the type of sleeping bag I took away to Brownie camp, aged 12. This item is sophisticated, it’s stylish and it’s ridiculously handy. It’s a yes from me.
